Jerry Kennelly Board’s Directors, Nimble Storage

Nimble Storage, Inc. announced that Jerry Kennelly, chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Riverbed, has joined the company’s board of directors.

He brings more than 30 years of strategic management and technology experience to Nimble Storage’s board including major roles as an early executive or founder in three successful start-up companies and two successful IPOs. He has a long track record of effective executive management in high growth, innovative technology companies, both large and small.

"I was attracted to Nimble by the innovative technology, the quality of the management team and the early track record of strong execution," said Kennelly. "There is a new paradigm for storage technologies in which Nimble is an early leader with increasing market share that puts it in an important lead position."

 Kennelly co-founded Riverbed in May 2002 and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer. He also serves on the board of trustees of the Dominican University of California. Prior to founding Riverbed, he spent six years at Inktomi Corporation, an infrastructure software company, where he served as EVP, CFOr and secretary. Prior to joining Inktomi in October 1996, he worked for Sybase, Inc., an infrastructure software company, in a number of senior financial and operational positions, Oracle Corporation as finance director for US operations, and Hewlett-Packard as WW sales and marketing controller for the Tandem Computers Division.

Kennelly holds a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a master’s degree from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.
