KineticD Receives Review by MSP Remote Technology Management for Business Solutions Magazine

"Whole other category of backup" than other vendors including Asigra, Axcient, CharTec, Datto, StorageCraft and Unitrends

KineticD announced that a recent review conducted by MSP Remote Technology Management (RTM) for Business Solutions magazine found KineticD to be in a "whole other category of backup" than the other vendors it tested, including Asigra, Axcient, CharTec, Datto, StorageCraft and Unitrends.

As reported in Business Solutions, most MSPs offer a backup and DR (BDR) solution to their customers. CEO Eric Brown and technical manager Kevin Danis spent more than 40 hours testing seven BDR solutions in their Massachusetts test lab over a two-week period.

"There is no single solution that meets every MSP’s needs perfectly, however, we found that KineticD seems to be in a whole other category of backup than the other vendors we tested," said Brown. "Besides its continuous file-based backups on applications such as Exchange, SharePoint, SQL databases and QuickBooks, it offers image-based backups for VMware- and HyperV based VMs. The company’s pricing structure is very competitive and straightforward, a key feature that sets it aside from the other vendors in this space. For customers that do a lot of data entry, such as call center and help desk organizations, being able to backup data in real time could be a very attractive offer."

RTM tested KineticD’s special features and quickly discovered that its unlimited local storage with cloud service; no bandwidth cap; no contracts and the backing up of applications, even when open, sets the company ahead of other backup vendors in its class.
