The appliance comes in the form of a VM
and has 25 device licenses with total 250GB backup storage capacity
and validity of 6 months. Available for free download until April
15 from Vaultize
International Backup Day page

"Plain backup is not enough to
protect data
," said Ankur Panchbudhe, CTO and co-founder of
Vaultize. "Lately, cloud-based file sharing and sync services
have revolutionized the way people access and share information.
People are freely using these services even for their official work,
and hence sensitive corporate data is now residing in third-party
clouds without the knowledge and control of IT – posing significant
data loss, security and compliance risks. Vaultize comes to your
rescue by giving a unified platform for file sharing, sync, endpoint
backup, endpoint encryption, anywhere/anytime access to data on
corporate file servers and enterprise mobility apps – everything with
complete enterprise control and visibility.
"

"We want to create awareness
about the data loss, security issues and compliance risks that come
with the use of consumer solutions, by showing that the same
functionality and ease of use can be achieved with Vaultize’s
enterprise-grade backup, sync and file sharing solution. Enterprises
and businesses can experience themselves by using this free soft
appliance,
" said Anand Kekre, CEO and co-founder of Vaultize.

This offering brings together features
that businesses otherwise have to acquire separately from multiple
vendors, including file sync and sharing, endpoint backup, endpoint
encryption and Google Apps backup – all managed from an
administrative console with control and visibility. In addition to
cloud-in-a-box appliance, the company also offers public cloud
(hosted in Rackspace) and private cloud (hosted on-premise or with
any cloud provider of customer’s choice).

Through Vaultize’s endpoint encryption,
corporate information remains encrypted on endpoints ensuring
protection against unauthorized access and potential data leakage
from lost or stolen device. In addition to on-disk protection, the
company’s encryption technology used in file sharing and backup
ensures that the data is encrypted or decrypted only on endpoints –
guaranteeing end-to-end protection.
