Five New Infortrend ZFS-Based EonNAS x10 Series

Infortrend Technology, Inc. announced five additions to its ZFS-based EonNAS x10 Series – the 2-bay EonNAS Pro 210, the 5-bay EonNAS Pro 510 and the 8-bay EonNAS Pro 810 tower models, as well as the 4-bay 1U EonNAS 1110 and the 8-bay 2U EonNAS 1210 rackmount models.

These new additions offer enterprise storage solutions that help SMB and SOHO users optimize file sharing, IP SAN applications, storage and backup.

The EonNAS x10 Series features Atom Dual-Core 2.13GHz processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, USB 3.0 and two Gb LAN ports. Supporting up to 4TB SATA HDD in each HDD bay, storage capacity can reach up to 32TB with the EonNAS Pro 810 and EonNAS 1210.

As part of the EonNAS family, the newly models offer protocol support, enabling SMB and SOHO users to serve file- and block-based applications with a single device and achieve file sharing between different workstations in an office environment. Storage is enhanced by enterprise features including data deduplication and compression for optimized resource utilization and the ZFS file system for end-to-end data integrity with corrupt data self-healing. Data is further protected by features such as unlimited snapshot, which offers space-efficient differential data copies to quickly rollback data or restore files in the event of data errors as well as storage pool mirror.

William Chen, director of product strategy for SMB Storage at Infortrend, noted: "We are inviting SMB business owners to say ‘Enough is enough!’ to those Linux-based NAS manufacturers who have been overcharging them for the various counter-productive entertainment features that are distracting to businesses. Infortrend EonNAS offers enterprise solutions, such as data deduplication, compression, unlimited snapshot and corrupt data self-healing that those other Linux-based NAS only wish they could offer at a price point that is generally 10-15% lower."

The EonNAS x10 series is available through network of distributors, resellers and service providers.

The tower EonNAS Pro 210 is listed for $449, EonNAS Pro 510 for $649, and the EonNAS Pro 810 for $849. The 1U rackmount EonNAS 1110 is listed for $949 while the 2U rackmount EonNAS 1210 is listed for $,1699.
