AntemetA, the French system storage integrator, announced
StoreFile.

The goal of StoreFile is to combine in
one unified storage solution block and file modes. It relies
on a 3par HP 3par StorServ 7200 bay and a HP StoreEasy NAS gateway running on Windows
Server 2012.

To follow the rising trend of mobility, the integrator developed a web administration panel in
HTML5 and being ‘iPad
friendly’. It allows customers to get a global look on the
details of the complete solution to re-arrange the different
volumes by allocating more space or resources. And it integrates
provisioning and de-provisioning capability.
Although the web panel is web standard-compliant, it’s said to work better with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 10.

Windows Server 2012 was chosen by
AntemetA mainly for the security side of the OS and the large panel of
anti-virus software and the encryption possibility of BitLocker. For networking capabilities, the solution supports protocols ranging
from NFS (3.0 to 4.1) to SMB 3.0 and CIFS.

AntemetA said that competitors like EMC or NetApp offer this kind of solution, but based on Linux, not Microsoft.

The
global solution is supposed to cost around €40,000, being available since last March 29, 2013.

AntemetA’s StorFile will be also available by HP channel as is was the case of other products developed especially by the French company for 3par: Vision to manage the storage system with a tablet and GeoCluster software for BC, both of them launched two years ago.

AntematA has been an HP partner for 18 years on EVA and now 3Par. It announced a turnover of €40 millions for its fiscal year ended March 2013, a 7% increase from former year. It now has 130 employees, ten of them being recruited last year.
