NovaStor Cooperates With UKBackup
Combining access to local backup devices with online storage
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 2, 2013 at 2:53 pmNovaBACKUP from NovaStor AG combines access to local backup devices as well as cloud storage in one product.
NovaStor has now started cooperations with providers in the USA, the UK and Germany to provide users with professional online storage at local partners. Users in the UK who are interested in backing up their data at a local online storage provider will be able to do so with NovaStor’s professional cloud backup partner UKBackup.
Users have their choice of cloud storage
Contrary to backup vendors who run their own data center, NovaStor integrates independent online storage providers in NovaBACKUP. Customers may choose from Amazon S3, FTP or one of several professional cloud storage providers.
Cloud storage from UKBackup for safety
With UKBackup cloud storage provider based in the UK, customers will have a local partner for personal support, and can trust that UKBackup practices backup compliant with the same laws and regulations that apply to themselves. UKBackup is not only based in the UK, but also trusts in NovaStor’s backup, transmission, encryption and storage technology and thus in a company that is also subject to EU data protection guidelines.
Wizards guide users not only through all backup and restore processes, but as well through the steps for registration of an online storage account which only requires a few clicks.
No credit card information has to be submitted in the beginning, as the first 2GB are free with any of NovaStor’s integrated cloud storage partners. The account becomes available for the backup of critical data.
Stefan Utzinger, CEO von NovaStor, said: "Cloud services provide flexibility and savings. Still, many companies have reservations about sending their data to an anonymous, multi-national corporation. NovaStor’s cooperation with UKBackup provides these customers with a comfortable alternative that reduces the effort for backup and also ensures transparency in terms of storage."
