Aleratec Cuts Price of USB 3.0 Flash Key Duplicator

Aleratec
Inc. announced an economies-of-scale price reduction on its
computer-connected
USB 3.0 Flash Drive Duplicator.

The intense distribution and higher
sales volume prompted the company to reduce the price from its
original ERP of $1,049 to an ERP of $499.

According to the company, success of
the 1:16 USB 3.0 Copy Tower can be attributed to its
backward-compatible, design. Although USB 3.0 is becoming an
industry-standard over USB 2.0, not every organization has made the
switch. This duplicator is compatible with both formats.

"We designed a duplicator that
meets the future but preserves investments in previous formats,"
notes Aleratec president and CEO Perry Solomon. "The unit is
still compatible with USB 2.0 for those who have not upgraded but it
will be ready when they do."

Solomon points out that USB flash
drives are becoming an popular means of storage for large amounts of
data. Businesses and organizations that share and store data
appreciate the convenience, security, and compatibility of USB flash
drives for sales presentations, storage, artwork, and photography
files.

This product cuts the labor-intensive
chore of duplication and can copy USB flash drives from a single
source up to 16 at a time.

It also includes the Aleratec’s USB
Duplication Software Suite. The proprietary software lets users
choose the way they collect data from a source and duplicate from
image files or a flash drive. It also includes a feature
that allows users to format flash drives, providing a fix for
unformatted USB drives. Users can duplicate from selected files and
folders on their HDD, and name the volumes they create for easier
data content identification.

The 1:16 USB 3.0 Copy Tower is
compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP
and includes a USB 3.0 cable and USB 3.0 PCIe host adapter.

distribution partners for an estimated retail price of $499.
