Vaultize
(Anoosmar Technologies Private Limited) announced the availability of Cloud-in-a-box appliances with
storage capacity ranging from 12TB to 36TB that supports as high as 5,000 users concurrently.
With de-dupe technology this may
translate to file sharing and backup of 60TB to 180TB of user data –
assuming 80% saving normally achievable under such setups.
The
company pioneered the appliance model for enterprise file sharing,
endpoint backup and Google Apps backup through launch of its
cloud-in-a-box appliance series at cloudConnect 2012 last year. This
series became popular among medium-sized enterprises in business
verticals that are regulated by compliances – not allowing them to
move data to the cloud, and those sitting on the fence for cloud
adoption.
In addition to cloud-in-a-box, the
company offers public cloud (hosted in Rackspace) and private cloud
(hosted with any cloud provider of customer’s choice or on-premise).
The offering brings together a number of features that businesses
otherwise have to acquire separately from multiple vendors, including
file sync and sharing, endpoint backup, endpoint encryption and
Google Apps backup – managed from a single administrative console
with control and visibility.
Through the company’s endpoint
encryption, sensitive corporate information remains encrypted on
endpoints ensuring protection against unauthorized access and
potential data leakage from lost or stolen device. In addition to
on-disk protection, The patent pending encryption technology used in
file sharing and backup ensures that the data is encrypted/decrypted
only on endpoints – guaranteeing end-to-end protection.
