United Computer Group Delivers IBM Power 7 to Mansfield Plumbing Products

(UCG), an IT services firm, completed a significant technology refresh
for Mansfield Plumbing Products LLC of Perrysville, OH, resulting in a 20% decrease in their annual IT
budget.

Mansfield Plumbing was running Solarsoft
Software for ERP on an IBM Power 5 IBM System. With their technology lease
maturing, the time was right for Mansfield to take their IT systems to the next
level; UCG stepped in and offered to assist.

As Mansfield’s VAULT400 backup and DR solution
provider, UCG had a keen understanding of Mansfield’s technology needs. With
the assistance of UCG’s lead technician, Vladmir Capitanov, UCG designed and
implemented a new Power 7 system for Mansfield Plumbing. During the process,
UCG upgraded their current hardware management console, assisted with the
upgrade of 10Zig remote access (Jadvantage), and consolidated their hardware
and software maintenance contracts.

At 83 years old, Mansfield is poised for growth, their technology needs firmly in place.
