Swedish firm in software defined storage
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 20, 2013 at 2:53 pmCompuverde AB,
in storage solution for service providers, telecommunications
companies and enterprises, is now a member of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
As a member of SNIA, Compuverde is one of over 400 member companies spanning
the global market that share the common goal of advancing innovation in storage
network technology.
"The
big storage landscape faces new challenges in meeting the ever increasing
demand for improved storage solutions," said Stefan Bernbo, CEO and
founder of Compuverde. "Working with
SNIA, we will be able to collaborate with the global storage community in order
to continue to grow and improve this industry to meet today’s storage
challenges. We are honored to become a part of this established network of
thriving storage industry companies."
Service providers and telcos are seeking
ways to scale while reducing costs and downtime.
Compuverde’s software-defined storage solution detaches software from the
hardware component, freeing users to select hardware that costs less to deploy
and uses less energy.
With Compuverde’s solution, customers can scale out virtual environments
much further than traditional storage allows, adding thousands of VMs
to the same cluster and eliminating the cost and hassle of building a new
cluster to accommodate scaled-out environments.
In joining SNIA, Compuverde connects with other vendors and end-users in
advancing the next generation of storage solutions.
