NTI Software Transforms USB HDD or Key Into Backup Appliance

NTI Corporation announced the availability of its Pocket Backup in a retail version.

The popularity of the patent-pending Pocket Backup product has grown in the past few years. Previously, it had only been available through bundling with branded USB storage devices. Pocket Backup runs directly from any USB storage device, thus making data protection simple, cost effective and portable.

"Pocket Backup is part of NTI’s green software design, which means the software can run directly from your USB drive," stated Bill Yao, CEO of NTI. "The software literally transforms your USB storage device, be it a portable external HDD or flash pen drive, into a plug-n-play backup appliance."

NTI Pocket Backup’s Key Features include:

• Green Software: The program runs directly from the USB drive and backups to the USB drive.
• Native Format: Backup files are backuped in their native format so that the backup data can be directly accessed without having to restore it.
• Automatic, On-Demand Backup: There’s no need to schedule any backup. Just plug the USB device into the computer and the backup will run automatically.
• Backup Categories: Just select the categories of files to backup and Pocket Backup will automatically find the various file formats such as pictures, videos, music, documents, and Internet files on the computer.
• Restore: Restore entire category of files or just a single file with the Advanced Restore function. All backuped files are organized in file categories to make for an easy restore.

Designed for Windows 8, 7, Vista, and XP. The MSRP for NTI Pocket Backup is $19.99 and is available to download at NTI’s online store for $9.99. NTI Pocket Backup OEM licensing is also available for software bundling with USB storage devices. The software is available in multi-language versions including English, French, and Spanish.
