Software Ltd announced a partnership with ClearDATA
Networks, Inc., a healthcare cloud computing platform
and service provider, to bring vendor neutral archive (VNA) and general medical archive services to the company’s HealthDATA cloud solution.
BridgeHead’s capabilities to support DICOM and non-DICOM data will allow
hospitals to store, protect and share both clinical and administrative data
in the cloud.
"The
partnership with BridgeHead is symbiotic as the company shares ClearDATA’s
dedicated focus on supporting the healthcare environment," said Darin
Brannan, CEO of ClearDATA. "BridgeHead’s
unique Healthcare Data Management (HDM) Solution allows hospitals to
efficiently and effectively manage all of their data. This, combined with our
expertise in delivering cloud solutions, enables us to collectively offer a
comprehensive solution to our customers. In addition, we hope to leverage
BridgeHead’s significant presence in the healthcare market to increase cloud
adoption by hospitals, clearly a priority for this unique collaboration."
The HealthDATA solution comprises an ultra-secure, HIPAA-compliant,
reliable and scalable cloud computing platform and hosting services designed
for the healthcare market. As part of the ClearDATA family, BridgeHead’s
Medical Archive, incorporating a VNA, provides an
environment equipped to manage the range of data within a hospital.
From the clinical side this includes (but is not limited to) DICOM images from
radiology departments or scanned patient information. Additionally, the
solution manages more generic, unstructured file data such as emails, documents
and spreadsheets found across the healthcare enterprise.
"ClearDATA
occupies a unique position in the market as a healthcare-specific cloud
provider. As a result, they recognize that healthcare has particular
governance, compliance and data issues that need to be adhered to,"
said Tony Cotterill, chief product officer and founder of BridgeHead. "We look forward to working with ClearDATA to
bring the critical capabilities of cloud-based Healthcare Data Management to
hospitals."
Based on hardware from HP, a long-standing partner of both BridgeHead and ClearDATA,
the new Medical Archive solution will offer options for healthcare
organizations to archive clinical and administrative data in the cloud,
depending on the specific level of service, availability and failover required
by hospitals. For example, a customer can chose to store healthcare data
in the cloud, or deploy a HA gateway on site. BridgeHead’s Healthcare Data
Management (HDM) Solution is suited for both of these applications.
