ShadowDrive Launching Socially Shared Cloud Storage App

To see content shared from Facebook

ShadowDrive, company owned by Dunmoor
Investment LLC,
is a free product that has taken the leap and
revolves around social media rather than adding select functions to
the storage capability.

shadow

It is a socially enabled cloud storage
product. The idea originated in 2010; the look, feel and
functionality of the product evolved multiple times before being
released to the public. It has been tested by consumer groups who
provided feedback and made to allow consumers the ability to
customize their ShadowDrive to fit their wants and needs from the
product. Social media is the backbone of this product defined by the
social networks used by the consumer.

Evolution is one constant that can be
measured across all industries. The idea of cloud storage first
originated in the 1990’s, 23 years ago, so why have we not seen more
from this piece of technology in this amount of time. Aside from its
creation, the cloud storage had not begun to evolve in great ways
until 5 years ago when companies like Box.com, Dropbox.com and
Carbonite.com redefined the landscape for cloud storage. More
recently, we have seen companies continue that growth by adding a
social media aspect to their cloud products; however, this growth has
been slow by only laying social media functions on top of existing
products.

Everyone has the need to store files,
but everyone also has the desire to share files. This is possible of
course through email and products like Dropbox, but these products
still lack a certain sense of meaning. ShadowDrive was created to add
that meaning for the consumer.

In addition to backing up, storing and
sharing their own files, the service let users have the freedom to
browse files shared by friends and view community files shared by any
Facebook page they like. Each of the components mentioned above can
also be performed through different options. Files can be stored in
custom folders and added through drag and drop technique, shared
through social media platforms such as Facebook or through personal
sharing utilizing options such as email and instant message, viewed
on the website or via the Facebook or mobile applications and
downloaded to another MAC or PC with one click. The initial offerings
are Cloud Storage, Friend to Friend sharing and Community to User
sharing all in one free product.

Cloud storage alone may
fade away much like the independent messaging services of the 90’s
(ICQ, AOL IM, etc.) and the replacement will be social cloud storage.
Technology is a fast paced and ever changing environment that creates
evolving demand. This service is ready to be released to the public
and meet that demand.
