IceWEB, Inc. has
signed its first private cloud customer, a Virginia County Government.
"After
announcing only three weeks ago the company’s new private cloud IceBOX
capability, the first customer, a municipality in Virginia found their
solution. They chose our exclusive ‘IceBOX’ because we can deploy it
immediately with the extremely high security level and multi-platform end-user
accessibility they required. No other vendor they had spoken with could do
that," said Rob Howe, IceWEB CEO.
"So
many outfits both in and out of the storage industry are seeking to capitalize
on the hype surrounding anything ‘cloud’ who don’t really have an immediately
deployable solution with capabilities even close to ours. Oh, they have the
chart-ware all right, but what really matters is being able to meet a
customer’s requirements immediately and get them working right away. Our IceBOX
private cloud solution does just that. Our customer needed to be able to
provide access to their constituents from any mobile device-smartphone, tablet,
notebook-and any Operating System (iOS, Android, Apple OS or Windows) and we
met those requirements. They also needed the security level commensurate with
the needs of a government entity, and we deployed that as well. These types of
sales are perfect for IceWEB because they involve both our storage appliance
hardware and our unique IceBOX software solution functioning together. This is
only the first of many more of these types of installations to come,"
Howe concluded.
