This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 5, 2013 at 2:49 pmBridgeworks Limited has appointed Phil Jones, formerly CEO of Shoden Data Systems, as VP marketing, to support Bridgeworks’ growth and the promoting of SANSlide into new markets during 2013.
Phil brings experience of the IT industry across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and a track record of success in technical, managerial and executive roles. Previously he helped to build Shoden UK from start-up into profit with UK successes in Sainsbury’s, British Airways, Barclays Capital, Standard Bank, and with users in Germany and Spain. He led a team in London specialising in storage and data management, to deliver backup and DR architectures to meet the needs of enterprise level organizations, and he built a thriving European partner network.

He has previously worked with Hitachi and IBM in a variety of roles in the storage sector, transforming Hitachi’s presence in the European storage market, and leading the European team responsible for marketing and product management of Hitachi storage throughout EMEA.
For IBM, he was responsible for the technical health of IBM’s storage products in the UK, overseeing early installations from beta testing to general availability and was a participant in IBM’s US laboratories when planning future products, and was a member of IBM’s Storage Management working party, defining directions for development initiatives.
