Enhance Technology Adding 4TB SATA/SAS HDDs to Subsystems

Enhance
Technology, Inc. announced the certification of 4TB SATA and SAS
drive models for use with the company’s UltraStor, EnhanceRAID and
Proavio storage brands.

The addition of 4TB HDDs on Enhance’s
desktop and rackmount lines will provide customers with greater
capacity options for applications that consume large amounts of
storage space. The update will include 32TB desktop models on the
Proavio EB800 series and up to 64TB on the Ultrastor ES and RS
families – with a 96TB model available later this year.

validation process, we have certified a number of 4TB drive models
including Western Digital WD4001FYYG Nearline SAS in our enterprise-class systems and Hitachi HGST 7K400 Deskstar and
Ultrastar SATA drive models across our desktop brands. 4TB drive
options now give our customers a huge capacity boost for growing
storage needs" said Luis Rodriguez, for Enhance Technology.

and the need for long-term, local data retention, our 4TB models
offer customers a cost-effective solution that addresses their
capacity goals while reducing acquisition costs. In addition, growth
in new markets such as 3D cinema and high resolution geophysical

4TB-equipped solutions into serious consideration."

The products along with 4TB disk
combinations will empower uses with solutions that are both proven
and scalable, up to 256TB, within a single storage tier. This amount
of density results in cost savings for customers through the
reduction of physical hardware and through the reduction of energy
costs associated with operating multiple units to meet their capacity
demands.
