Buffalo Inc. launches its first enterprise-class storage devices.

The new TeraStation 7120r and TeraStation 7120r Enterprise products are the first in a series of 12-bay 2U rack mountable NAS and iSCSI storage servers packed with business-class features and advanced functionality.

These latest storage solutions make up the TeraStation 7000 series, which features Intel Xeon quad core processors, upgradeable DDR3 RAM and configurations that include enterprise HDDs. They are for businesses that require a cost-effective, scalable RAID-based network storage solution for large networks and business critical applications.

TeraStation 7120r Enterprise

The TeraStation 7120r Enterprise TS-2RZHD device offers 24TB of high performance, scalable storage, along with 8GB of DDR3 RAM and 12 2TB enterprise HDDss.

It provides performance and runs many services simultaneously. The Intel Xeon E3-1275 quad core processor enables businesses to focus on concurrent tasks with minimal performance degradation and experience maximum network throughput while replication and backup jobs run in the background.

The device is packed with features such as Active Directory support, disk quota support, share level replication, quad GbE ports supporting link aggregation up to 4Gbps, hot-swap HDDs, iSCSI targeting and add-on PCIe card support with approved devices.

The TeraStation 7120r TS-2RZSD is partially populated with four standard SATA HDDs. It features the Intel Xeon E3-1225 quad core processor and 4GB of upgradeable DDR3 RAM. The device provides the same performance as its enterprise counterpart, handling concurrent file transfers and everyday NAS functions.

With eight available bays for capacity expansion, TeraStation 7120r provides scalability. It is packed with the same business-class features and functionality as the enterprise-class device, enabling businesses of all sizes to meet the demands of today’s storage needs.

The TeraStation 7000 series of storage servers features 12 hot-swap HDD bays, support for RAID-0/1/5/6/10/50/51/60/61 and future PCIe add-on accessories. Multiple capacities and drive configurations are available.

The TeraStation 7120r and 7120r Enterprise will be available from Buffalo’s stockists in the UK. The TeraStation 7120r will be available in 8TB and 12TB at an MSRP of £2,829.99 and £3,129.99 respectively. The 7120r Enterprise will be available in 24TB at an MSRP of £5,949.99.
