New Version of Cloudfounders CloudFrames Private Cloud Software Outperforming SAN

Belgium company Cloudfounders NV, developer of advanced private cloud software for IT-as-a-Service solutions, will be launching at at Cloud Expo Europe the latest version of CloudFrames, a software platform that converts commodity x86 hardware into a multi-function, ultra-reliable and high performance private cloud.

CloudFrames is different from other private cloud vendors, as it is delivered in an all-in-one software stack that converts standard Dell, HP and IBM hardware into a high performing and reliable private cloud.

"It has been a busy 5 months for us since we showcased our first commercial version of CloudFrames at VMworld and our development teams have been working on feedback from our commercial customers to deliver an update that adds significant functionality," explains Joost Metten, CEO for Cloudfounders.

One of the most sought after features is support for the VMware Hypervisor to go alongside existing integration with Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen and open source equivalents.

"We have also spent time qualifying and optimising the platform for hardware from Dell, HP and IBM to ensure performance and reliability," Metten adds.

Cloudfounders will also showcase a new Integrated Storage Appliance that uses its own software defined storage technology and x86 hardware to deliver low cost yet scalable storage in support of cloud and virtualisation solutions.

"Late last year, we privately demonstrated this storage innovation to our partner community and already have several enterprises proof-of-concepts underway. Cloud Expo will give us an opportunity to explain to a wider audience that innovative software is the key to unlocking the value of cloud computing," stated the company.

Cloudfounders will exhibit at Cloud Expo Europe on 29th and 30th January at Olympia, London, UK.
