Meditech and BridgeHead Installation
At Farrer Park Hospital in Singapore
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 15, 2013 at 2:56 pmIn November 2011, The Farrer Park Company
(TFPC) of Singapore and Meditech Australia (Pty) Ltd in Australia executed a
contract to install a Meditech EHR Solution into their integrated hub for wellness and healthcare – a first in Asia.
Integrated Backup and DR solutions are a critical cornerstone of the overall
framework and thus Meditech’s partner, BridgeHead Software Ltd., with its 10 years
plus experience of working closely with Meditech and its customers on
integrated Backup and DR solutions, was the fit.
Work
on the project is progressing according to schedule with the software load and backup solutions now complete.
"During the install of the Meditech
software and BridgeHead Backup solutions the BridgeHead staff worked tirelessly
along side the Meditech staff ensuring the install and initial testing ran
according to schedule, reaffirming why BridgeHead remains the preferred backup
solution for Meditech and their customers," says Douglas Murray, GM of
Meditech Australia.
To functionally interlace a hospital and
hotel represents a challenge but also an opportunity to create a
potentially historic shift in medical practice and patient care. Farrer Park
Hospital is one of the first private hospitals to be built ground-up in
Singapore after 30 years. As a new development, it is able to
incorporate and integrate the advances in
hospital design and medical technology that have transformed healthcare in the
past three decades.
As
such, Farrer Park Hospital is well-equipped to deliver the best medical
outcomes to patients from 11 operating theatres, 3 day-surgery units with a
total of 60 attached beds, a 23-bed Intensive Care Unit with diagnostic imaging services, 3 endoscopy suites, a radiotherapy department,
clinical laboratories, a full-service pharmacy and an advanced
implementation of hospital information technology.
