StoreAlliance Distributor of Proximal Data

Selling AutoCache virtual cache software in EMEA

Proximal Data, Inc., provider of server-side caching solutions specifically designed for virtualized environments, announced a strategic partnership with StoreAlliance, a storage industry sales and business development consultancy.

StoreAlliance will sell AutoCache, Proximal Data’s fast virtual cache software, to customers in EMEA and establish relationships with resellers who can assist with penetrating those markets.

AutoCache eliminates I/O bottlenecks in virtualized servers with adaptive I/O caching, increasing VM density, efficiency and performance.

"Companies are demanding more out of their virtualized infrastructures, and AutoCache addresses that directly," said Richard Czech, managing partner at StoreAlliance. "By utilizing our unique approach to lead generation and sales execution, as well as leveraging our extensive network of resellers and IT decision-makers, we will dramatically extend Proximal Data’s ability to offer its unique solution beyond North America."

"By partnering with StoreAlliance, we are engaging a team of sales and business development experts who specialize in storage solutions sales and have significant experience in successfully bringing products to global markets," said Rory Bolt, CEO of Proximal Data. "With StoreAlliance providing their go-to-market savvy and sales support, we look forward to expanding our market to a broader range of customers who can benefit from our ability to better manage storage I/O and increase virtual machine density."

AutoCache increases VM density by up to three times, with no impact on IT operations. Simple to install, it plugs into hypervisors such as VMware’s ESXi, and transparently works on all I/O without requiring agents in guest OSs. It places the hot I/O onto a PCIe flash card or SSD and intelligently supplies priority data traffic to VMs. Customers have used AutoCache to improve the performance of business-critical applications that are running in virtualized environments.
