Cloudian Cloud Storage Platform Citrix Ready

Cloudian,
Inc. announced that its Cloudian Cloud Storage Platform has been verified
as Citrix Ready in the cloud verified category.

The Citrix Ready program helps customers identify third-party solutions that
are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking and cloud computing
solutions from Citrix. Cloudian became part of the program in order to better
help enterprises and service providers build clouds on the Citrix
CloudPlatform, powered by Apache CloudStack. The Cloudian Storage Platform is
now integrated with Citrix CloudPlatform, enabling cloud service providers and
enterprises to deploy S3-compatible cloud storage along with a cloud computing
platform under a common user interface for provisioning and sign on. In
addition to enabling revenue-generating Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS), Cloudian
has also been integrated with CloudPlatform to act as secondary storage,
providing multi-zone access to templates and snapshots. Cloudian is listed at
the Citrix Ready Xchange.

Cloudian delivers a S3 API compliant,
multi-tenant, multi-data center cloud storage platform that enables customers
to deploy a scalable and reliable object storage
service within public and private clouds. The platform leverages a distributed, peer-to-peer architecture, with no single point of failure.
Cloudian also provides a user interface for both end user applications as well
as administrative functions, including billing, monitoring and provisioning.
The solution scales from one node up to hundreds of nodes across multiple data
centers, supporting PBs of data, enabling system operators to leverage
heterogeneous, commodity servers for horizontal scalability.

The company released the free Cloudian
Community Edition, which will support up to 100TB of useable storage and
offers forum support, opening up the scalability, reliability and power of
cloud object storage to anyone building an Amazon S3-compatible cloud, be it
public, private or hybrid. The Cloudian Community Edition can be downloaded here.
