Novosoft With New Handy Backup
And Linux backup solution

The new version of the software backup platform features an enhanced versioning engine, facilitates backing up to popular online storage services (Yandex.disk, 4shared, and others), and has architectural improvements aimed at creating a cross-platform Windows-Linux backup utility.
"The new version reinforces our commitment to working with partners to create the most full-featured and easy-to-use backup solution", said Alexander Rassokhin, product manager of Handy Backup. "It provides a fast way of storing data to Box.Com, 4shared, Yandex.Disk and other file storage services. Also, it offers new schemes in which you can combine incremental and differential backups with a specified number of full backups.
"We are happy with what we managed to do to internal architecture of the program. We are on the finish line in moving to a common cross-platform codebase, and Linux version of Handy Backup built from the same source code is very likely to be released before the end of the year."
The list of supported cloud storage options presents improved integration with popular cloud services, like Dropbox (via DropDAV), Yandex.disk, 4shared, and others. This functionality helps to construct a single cloud storage combined of several ones, getting advantage of the popular services in an advanced way and utilizing the storage these services provide more efficiently. The cloud storages are available via the WebDAV protocol.
Earlier, Novosoft announced its plan to release a new online backup service based on Linux backup functionality of Handy Backup launched in cloud environment. Release of a Linux backup solution is one of the important milestones on this way.
