SOAPWare Partners With CCS Cloud Backup Solutions
To protected health information
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 7, 2012 at 3:03 pmData backup provider computer consulting service
and electronic health record vendor SOAPware,
Inc. have forged a partnership with Computer
Consulting Service, LLC in order to provide increased information security
for EHR clients.
The companies will work together in order to provide current SOAPware EHR
customers with the option of a remote data backup service, available through
monthly subscription.
SOAPware officials believe the provision of
an optional cloud-based backup service will alleviate a large burden from
current clients by allowing them to meet HIPAA and Meaningful Use compliance
more easily. The company ranks in the top 2% for Meaningful Use attestations,
with nearly 20 years of experience in the EHR industry.
The decision to partner with CCS to provide
clients with a backup system follows an exhaustive search to offer more ideal
approaches toward accomplishing optimal data backup and DR services.
SOAPware president Randall Oates, MD, states: "It is our mission to offer practical and affordable solutions that will
be consistent with current and emerging regulations."
CCS is a player in their industry with data storage sites in
the Los Angeles, CA, and Boston, MA, areas.
"Safeguarding PHI by helping medical
practices achieve legislative compliance is our top priority," states
CCS founder Shaun Huffman.
The CCS cloud-based backup solution utilizes the same encryption
employed by major financial institutions for online banking, storing client
data in several SAS 70 certified, redundant Tier 4 data centers across the
US.
The new service will also offer customers the option of
checking backup status on-site or remotely over a secure web browser,
eliminating some of the more inconvenient constraints associated with
traditional backup.
