Storage Made Easy announced that its Cloud File Server and Cloud Service
Broker Platform have been integrated with Active Directory, allowing its
clients to authenticate directly with AD credentials.
It
has also updated its platform to enable its business users to take advantage of
Bring your Own Device management.
"Given the rise of cloud computing services
within businesses, consolidated identity and access management is critical to
companies of all sizes," says Jim Liddle, CEO, Storage Made Easy. "Our Active Directory integration
authenticates users via their existing Windows credentials. It also allows IT
to consolidate access and authorization for public and private information
services. BYOD management is
something our business users have asked for and we have responded by adding
BYOD support to our platform. Cloud platform administrators can now block roles
or users at a mobile device or desktop access client level and setup BYOD
profiles."
The
AD solution features setup and configuration. Security groups and permissions
in AD are imported and provide fine-grained access across cloud services.
The
BYOD solution supports Mac, Windows, Linux desktop clients and Android, iOS,
BlackBerry and Windows Phone mobile device clients.
Storage
Made Easy’s Service Broker supports most cloud-based systems, including Amazon
S3, Google Drive, and Dropbox.
