CoActiv Medical Debuts Exam-Cloud Backup

CoActiv Medical debuts at RSNA 2012 new service and pricing options for its cloud-based, vendor neutral archiving (VNA) system, with more than nine years of performance.

One of the first DICOM storage companies in the cloud, CoActiv provides secure, HIPAA-compliant, scalable and fail proof archiving backed by a 100% SLA guarantee. For secure primary archiving of DICOM and non-DICOM imaging related data, EXAM-CLOUD (formerly EXAM-VAULT), features VNA technology and quad-redundant storage in four separate locations. At RSNA 2012, this flagship offering is joined by EXAM-VAULT backup, similarly optimized for reliable, secure image storage with many of the same features as EXAM-CLOUD.

EXAM-CLOUD stores all images in a quad-redundant fashion. This includes two copies of all exams in Tier-IV datacenters in different states, utilizing distinct power grids and Internet peering points. In addition, data is also archived online at the imaging facility as well as on removable media in a secure CoActiv fire proof vault.

The EXAM-CLOUD service provides instant exam retrieval along with HIPAA compliant and audited security, making it a fast and secure archiving system. It can be integrated with most other PACS for only pennies per exam, offering an affordable and scalable archiving solution for radiology departments and practices of any size.

To ensure BC, the archive provides instant fail-over to CoActiv’s mirrored offsite datacenters. EXAM-CLOUD enables instant remote exam access by any authorized radiologist or referring physician, using the CoActiv zero-footprint EXAM-BROWSER. New EXAM-VAULT backup storage provides the same security and advanced technology as EXAM-CLOUD. It is a secure, HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based system anchored in a tier-IV data centre. VNA technology supports all DICOM modalities as well as related non-DICOM objects.
