Ahsay Added Exchange Database Availability Group and VMware vCenter Backup Capabilities

Ahsay Systems Corporation, a backup software developer, announced the release of its Backup Software version 6.11.

This new version supports the online/offsite/remote backup of Microsoft Exchange Database Availability Group (DAG) at database and mailbox levels, and VMware vCenter. As Ahsay Backup Software is an online backup software suite designed for online/offsite/remote backup service providers, these features allow the providers to expand their service coverage by providing secure online/offsite/remote backup services of Exchange DAG and VMware vCenter to their corporate customers.

Exchange DAG backup
With v6.11, the backup of Microsoft Exchange DAG (Database Availability Group) is a simple task by installing AhsayOBM client side backup application on each of Exchange Server within the DAG. Each AhsayOBM will be responsible for the backup of the active database(s) and mailbox(es) of its host machine. After backup, all the active databases and mailboxes from different host machines will be consolidated on the backup server side under one backup set. When needed, the administrator can choose to restore a backup Exchange database onto any Exchange host machine within the DAG. This new Exchange DAG backup module has been bundled within the new AhsayOBM for free. Thus, backup providers don’t need to pay extra to get this module.

VMware vCenter backup
Ahsay VMware backup module is designed for using in conjunction with AhsayOBM for fast and secure backup of guest VMs in VMware ESX and ESXi hosts. With the newly added vCenter support, backup of ESX and ESXi can now be done with or without vCenter, depending on the configuration. Same as the Exchange DAG module, the support of vCenter has been bundled within the new AhsayOBM for free.
