Remote Automatic Backup of MySQL on Handy Backup V7.3.0

Novosoft LLC announced that Handy Backup new version can automatically back up of MySQL databases, including backing up to and from a remote machine, MySQL remote restore, and other useful options.

Remote backup of MySQL is available in the new version of Handy Backup, 7.3.0. The functionality set includes latest developments: simplified setup of remote backup, traffic and data transfer speed optimization based on an improved scheme of the differential backup, hot backup of MySQL.

The new version of Handy Backup presents improved remote backup configuration. Now this process is reduced to submitting the name of a network machine and access info, right in the program interface. This innovation gets remote backup of MySQL to a new level of transparency.

The optimization of speed and traffic in the latest version of the backup software, which is based on the use of the refined scheme of differential backup. It concerns, in particular, MySQL database backup. Now, only byte-level file differences of data, as compared to the most recent full backup, are sent to the storage to fully preserve data loss, which reduces time required for the backup update and presents high speeds of transferring those differences.

Handy Backup 7.3.0 can do ‘hot’ backup, which allows making changes and saving the new version of files, without having to stop the service.

Such features as automatic record search of the database and remote MySQL backup through ODBC drivers, MySQL backup without stopping of a server, are also available in the new version.
