CloudBerry Explorer V.3.7: Freeware for Amazon S3 Supporting Archiving

CloudBerry Lab released CloudBerry Explorer v.3.7, an application that allows users to manage files in Amazon S3 just as they would on their local computers.

In the new release CloudBerry Explorer for Amazon S3 supports archiving to Amazon Glacier feature. Now users can leverage CloudBerry Explorer to archive data stored to low-cost Glacier storage.

"With the new Amazon Glacier storage option for Amazon S3, you can define rules to automatically archive sets of Amazon S3 objects to Amazon Glacier for even lower cost storage," AWS Team stated in the announcement.

CloudBerry Explorer also supports recently announced new data center located in Australia. With the new Explorer version users can upload and manage their data in the AWS AsiaPac (Sydney) region.

Archiving to Amazon Glacier feature and Australian region are supported by both versions of CloudBerry Explorer: Freeware and PRO.

Freeware download version offers basic storage management capabilities such as browsing, creating, and deleting files, folders and buckets and uploading content from your PC to Amazon S3 storage and vice versa.

Pro version offers some advanced features over freeware version. It costs $39.99 per license and available for download.
