NetApp FAS3200 Available at Long View Systems

cloud services, announces will soon make available to its customers a midrange storage platform unveiled by one of its strategic
partners.
NetApp, Inc has introduced new additions to the FAS3200
series, a flash-optimized and cluster-enabled platform that serves as the
foundation for an agile data infrastructure. The new systems, the
FAS3220 and FAS3250, increase the performance and scalability for growing
enterprises improving performance by up to 80 per cent, and increasing storage
capacity by as much as 100% over their predecessor.

The FAS3220 and FAS3250 systems represent a mix of performance and
capacity scaling to grow with a business. They can adapt to support any
application workload reducing complexity across operations, and providing the
ability to take on new projects, regardless of size.
The FAS3200 series also enables none disruptive
operations, which allow transparent technology refreshes and re-balancing of
workloads. This helps in eliminating planned and unplanned downtime, and
improves service in several ways bringing new applications and technologies
online more easily, making changes to the environment while maintaining users’
data access, and responding in real-time to the demands of the business.
The FAS3200 series can be tailored to
either a virtualized, cloud or traditional environment from a few terabytes of storage to 2PB. This new midrange storage platform leverages
NetApp’s clustered Data ONTAP, meaning that growing businesses can deploy an scaling from 2 to 24 storage nodes, without ever having to
deal with system downtime.
