Livedrive Releases Windows 8 App

released a Windows 8 app.

The application allow customers to upload and download
content from the cloud directly to their Windows 8 devices, including
Windows RT touch screens.

Windows 8 offers a departure from the typical Windows
desktop experience and adds a new touch screen interface, making
easier to view and edit your content.

Livedrive have built on Microsoft’s foundations and have
given users the ability to access all of their files stored in the
cloud directly from their devices. The app lets users upload and
download data, stream media and share files with compatible Windows 8
apps.

Livedrive offers its customers between 2TB and
5TB of cloud storage space from £9.95 per month. The business
has already established itself as a top paid cloud providers and has
previously released apps for Apple iOS, Android, and Chrome OS
devices. The Livedrive Windows 8 app moves the company closers to
their goal of enabling customers to access their files on any device.

The Windows 8 application offers
several
features including:

• Upload and download files within the app

• Music and video streaming – which gives users the
  ability to play their files stored in the cloud without downloading
  them

• See your photos directly in the app

• Share files with other Windows 8 apps

• Save files directly to Livedrive from other Windows 8
  apps

• Place links to Livedrive stored files and folders on
  your touch screen desktop

Livedrive’s CEO, Andrew Michael has stated: "Windows

The Livedrive app will be available to all customers
free of charge via the Windows
Store.

Backup accounts start at £4.95 per month, Livedrive Briefcase
options start at £9.95 per month, and Livedrive’s Pro Suite option,
including both Backup and Briefcase products, starts at £14.95 per
month
