Free Unlimited File Storage by Lightspeed Systems
For schools
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 23, 2012 at 2:54 pmLightspeed Systems, Inc. recognizes file storage for staff and student resources and schoolwork is essential.
As digital learning and multimedia projects amplify file size, that requirement is only growing. Schools today struggle with providing ample storage space on the network and also have to deal with problematic virus-prone personal thumb drives.
Lightspeed Systems announced a new solution for schools. For a limited time, the educational technology company is offering all districts free unlimited file storage through their collaborative learning management system, My Big Campus.
Lightspeed Systems is providing this opportunity to customers and non-customers alike. Each student or staff user will receive their own personal digital locker with unlimited storage and mobile access.
Videos, pages, images, documents, PDFs, presentations, HTML, and more can be added to a users’ private file storage. Inappropriate files or those that pose a security risk will not be added, ensuring the safety of the user and the network. The files can be accessed from school, home, the library, anywhere there is Internet access and at anytime. And My Big Campus can be configured through network policies to allow nothing else – so even schools that don’t need a full LMS can still reap the benefits of free file storage.
With My Big Campus file storage, users receive:
- Unlimited files per account where each individual file upload may be up to 100MB
- Unlimited cloud backup
- Scanning for viruses and skin-tone analysis
- Support for mobile device access
- Support for iWork file uploads (Pages, Numbers, Keynote).
There is no need for a desktop application and to VPN.
