Rocket Software Completes Acquisition of OpenTech Systems
In software for physical and virtual tape migration for IBM System z

OpenTech solutions have been trusted globally by storage vendors, service providers, and large enterprises for over a decade. The OpenTech team, based near Dallas, TX, has joined the organization of more than 1,000 employees and is now part of the Rocket Storage, Networks, and Compliance business unit.

OpenTech offers tape data migration software that has been trusted by storage vendors and outsource/service providers for over a decade. These products are fast, efficient, and support critical data that is moving between any combination of both physical and virtual tape on IBM System z. In addition, its tape-based backup and recovery software helps identify, backup, and recover disk-based data.
Rocket is engaged in business and technology partnerships with IBM, EMC, Fujitsu, HP Enterprise Services, HDS, Avaya, Motorola, Epicor, and others. The company is headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.
