CRU-DataPort DataHarbor Backup Appliance Starting at $1,599
With hardware encryption and removable HDD
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 17, 2012 at 3:14 pmCRU-DataPort announced the CRU DataHarbor, a network backup and DR appliance designed for small businesses and work groups with hardware-based encryption.
The
appliance was developed in concert with small businesses and their IT
suppliers representing the healthcare, legal, finance, government, and
other industries.
Key features they wanted were the ability to:
- Comply
with HIPPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulatory and confidentiality
requirements. Data on the drives can only be accessed with the proper
physical key, keeping confidential client, patient, and business data
safe. - Create hardware encrypted backup copies of their computer
environments and to establish a drive rotation to secure at least one
backup copy offsite. The appliance includes two rugged, removable
storage devices, the DataPort 10 secure removable carriers.
This
is the same CRU technology heritage that Hollywood relies on to
distribute movies and government agencies count on for keeping data
secure in a variety of applications, including in the field and in
hostile environments.
Available, the CRU DataHarbor appliance solution’s suggested retail price begins at $1,599.
