Brocade Working With Piston Cloud

Brocade Communications Systems,
Inc. is working with Piston
Cloud Computing, Inc., an enterprise OpenStack company, to help ensure
that joint customers can orchestrate and manage Brocade VCS fabric-based
network infrastructure using Piston Enterprise OpenStack software.

This collaboration is designed to deliver a flexible, resilient and
scalable solution that will address the demand of private cloud
infrastructures. With this partnership, Brocade will deliver pre-tested, and
Piston Cloud certified, OpenStack-based solutions for private cloud, for ease of deployment among customers.

VCS Fabric technology has the ability to transform OpenStack
scalability by providing service-level abstractions powered by distributed
fabric intelligence. This offloads the orchestration platform from managing
individual network elements, resulting in simplified operations of large-scale,
complex infrastructures. Brocade announced a demonstration of the
industry’s first service-oriented orchestration using OpenStack software and
Ethernet fabrics built on Brocade VCS Fabric technology.

Additional benefits of

include the ability to:
