Issues Affecting Buffalo TeraStation 5000

Buffalo Inc. recently became aware of issues that affect the TeraStation 5000 series line of NAS devices in iSCSI mode running either firmware version 2.10 or 2.11 that could result in data loss.

To ensure the integrity of your data, it is critical that customers currently using any TeraStation 5000 series NAS as an iSCSI target perform the following steps:

• Backup your data
• Do no reboot the TeraStation
• Install updated firmware 2.12 immediately

 
At that point it will again be safe to restart the TeraStation.
