This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 5, 2012 at 2:55 pmNextVault, Inc., a cloud online backup company, has achieved U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework Certification, issued by the Department of Commerce.
"This is a great accomplishment for NextVault. Our team worked hard to ensure that we met all requirements to earn this certification," said Kevin B. Harris, president and CEO of NextVault. "This certification is another example of how NextVault is continually improving our offerings, operation and service delivery to ensure that we are providing the best value of data protection solutions available to businesses."
The Safe Harbor framework was implemented to ensure that companies in the United States comply with a standard of operating procedures and security to ensure adequate data privacy protection for European Union countries.
"With our ability to protect business and user data all over the world, it was important that we achieve this certification to ensure that we are not limited in our offerings based on geography," Harris added. "As businesses and their data continue to grow all over the globe and they come to us for quality solutions, we will be well positioned to ensure that their data is safe and secure with us and recoverable on a moment’s notice."
NextVault was formed in early 2010 by online backup pioneers Kevin Harris and Bud Stoddard with the goal of delivering data protection to its customers.
