AMI StorTrends 3400i SAN Achieves VMware ESXi 5.1 Certification
Support for vSphere client plugin

By completing this detailed validation process, the StorTrends 3400i is VMware certified and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) .
"StorTrends is deployed within VMware virtual environments around the world as the centralized SAN," said Mike Thyne, director of marketing at AMI. "By achieving this VMware ESXi 5.1 Certification, StorTrends customers can upgrade with the certainty of knowing that both VMware and StorTrends stand fully behind the virtual environment."

StorTrends also offers vSphere plugin that allows customers to manage the StorTrends 3400i SAN directly from within the vSphere Client.
Bagby added: "By offering a vSphere plugin, our customers can easily manage a StorTrends SAN from directly within the vSphere client. This not only saves times for the user, but also simplifies the management steps. Through the plugin users can manage datastores and VMs while also viewing the StorTrends 3400i SAN management interface for system health, storage resource management charts and capacity usage."
American Megatrends is a member of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) Program, which makes it for customers to identify certified products like the StorTrends 3400i SAN that work within the VMware virtual environment.
In addition to its certification with VMware, the StorTrends 3400i SAN is also certified with Citrix Xen and Hyper-V.
