Converting from MOD into standard DICOM allows access to data stored on old media platforms by converting proprietary, non-DICOM data into standard DICOM format and alleviating the need and costs of maintaining older workstations.

All conversion services are performed by Daylight Medical trained personnel working with customer provided media that is then returned along with the IHE/DICOM Part 10 compliant CD/DVD, including a DICOMDIR consisting of all patient names, studies and images contained on the disk.

"We have had numerous requests from customers for an economical solution to convert MO disks to DICOM to allow doctors the ability to compare a patient’s prior and current studies on one system," says Rick Dayton, president of Daylight Medical. "The service we provide is economical, and because there is no equipment to purchase, there is no invesent in equipment the facility will no longer need once the patient information from the MODs has been saved to their system."

MOD to DICOM conversion helps facilities attain compliance with regulations mandating access to patient records while creating workflow efficiencies by having all patient information available on one system for quick access. The service offered supports a variety of MOD formats and costs vary based on the volume of MODs.

Daylight Medical is a privately-held corporation with headquarters in Middleburg Heights, OH and an affiliate of CODONICS, manufacturer of medical image distribution technologies.
