Software Enhancement From VaultLogix

VaultLogix LLC announced a software enhancement that
provides users greater control over the length of time data is saved – i.e. the
data retention period.

VaultLogix Advantage now allows businesses and
resellers control over the number of retentions and retention period for their
data.

Data retention policies and regulations vary by
company and industry. Some retention period requirements can be as long as 7
years, while the retention period for non-critical applications can be just a
few days or weeks.

With VaultLogix agentless software, you can
customize your data retention period requirements based upon industry and/or
company needs. You have control of the number and age of your data snapshots.

"Although
we have always allowed clients control over the number of versions of the data
stored, we’ve noticed that companies today need to store data for longer
periods of time," says Jon Maguire, director of sales, VaultLogix.
"In response to this growing need,
we now offer our clients and resellers greater control over the retention
period required for each backup set."

retention periods of tapes and other media with the convenience and reliability
of cloud-based storage. And unlike aging and unreliable tape libraries, data

environment, and replaced to a second site as an added level of security.
