Personal Adds Secure Files and Notes to Data Vault

For safer cloud, mobile storage and sharing

Personal, a Web and
mobile vault that enables people to securely share and store their important
data at home and work, unveiled a new feature that allows individuals to manage
secure files, photos and notes.

With the new offering, Personal now makes
it easy for people to capture, find and share all the important details and
documents of their lives in one convenient, safe place.

"Adding
secure notes, files and photos to our data Gems creates a powerful combination
of tools to manage most any situation that involves important information.
People are using Personal for everything from passwords and account
information, to financial, health and insurance records and onboarding new
employees and caregivers
," said Shane Green, co-founder and CEO of
Personal. "We’re also excited to
announce our integration with Dropox through its API. Dropbox is a great
company with a hugely loyal user base
."

Personal users (called owners) can store
notes, files and photos directly in Personal or link to their Dropbox accounts.
Files uploaded to Personal’s data vault are encrypted for added protection.

New features include:

  • Secure encryption: All uploaded files are
encrypted through Personal when stored and shared. The encryption level is the
same 256-bit AES encryption and RSA 2048 asymmetric key encryption used to
    encrypt sensitive data on Personal.
  • Secure sharing: Owners can safely share
important notes, files and documents, along with other data stored in their
Gems, with other registered users. They can securely grant and request Gems
    anytime, anywhere.
  • Free data, notes and file storage: Owners can
securely upload unlimited data and notes, and up to 50MB of files and photos.
Owners can also choose to attach files and save them to their Dropbox account.
