Sans Digital Supports 4TB HGST HDD

Reaching up to 288TB in RAID and NAS

Sans
Digital
announced the support of 4TB HDD.

The HGST
4
TB
UltraStar
SATA
III
7200 RPM 64MB 3.5 inch 6GB/s drives are supported on enclosures
like the AccuRAID, AccuSTOR, AccuNAS, TowerRAID+, TowerSTOR,
MobileStor, MobileRAID, EliteRAID, EliteSTOR, EliteNAS, etc.

The addition of the 4TB HDD provided users the ability to use high-capacity
storage to help expand their data storage needs.

Advancements in technology have
increased data storage requirements for SMBs. For example, HD editors
and post-production crews who deal with 2K and 4K video surpassed the
need for large capacity and performing storage enclosures years
ago. Video editors are now recognizing that with massive amounts of
video files comes the need to store them on larger storage
enclosures.

For several years storage devices
such as the TowerRAID+ and EliteNAS rackmounts, which ranges anywhere
from 1 to 72 hard drive bays, have been used in home offices, SMBs,
video editing, data backup, surveillance systems and other
industries. Featuring connection interfaces such as eSATA, USB 3,0 FC, SAS, 10GbE, and more. The company provides storage solution for any requirement. By supporting 4TB HDD, their
products provide a solution for companies and individuals looking to
store more data on storage equipment and looking to provide a
low-carbon footprint, with up to 288TB, or more than a quarter of PB
in a single unit.

"After countless hours of
testing by our engineers, we can now officially state that our
enclosures are able to support 4TB hard drives once again bringing
capacity, reliability, and competitive pricing to the storage market
"
said Stanley Chan, director of Business Development of Sans Digital.
"By
incorporating high-capacity 4TB hard drives into existing Sans
Digital product lines, we are providing users the ability to expand
their data capacity on a much smaller scale than ever before
