Alacrity Services Selects Rio Networks
To provide co-location services and DR
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 5, 2012 at 2:49 pmRio Networks, a locally-owned and operated data, phone and cloud services provider in Oregon, announced
it has been selected by Alacrity
Services, LLC to provide co-location services, including backup data and
recovery services.
"Rio provided us with an
immediate solution to our backup data storage needs," said Ara
Baboyan, CIO for Alacrity Services. "We
needed a location outside of our current headquarters for DR. After moving all
of our servers to their new data center in Roseburg in October, we will likely
move more of our services to Rio. They have been great."
Alacrity Services manages more than 1,200 contractors around the country for
insurance companies in all 50 states. Alacrity ensures that contractors are
credentialed and can do the job and then monitors them continuously.
According to Baboyan, the Eugene, OR-based company considered DR
sites in Atlanta, Seattle, Portland and in California before settling on the data
center with Rio Networks in Roseburg, OR.
"We wanted a stable business
provider, available when needed, with strong communication and uptime. Roseburg
is not too far and not too close and I"m pretty happy with them,"
said Baboyan.
"We"re pleased to be
able to offer colocation services for Alacrity and look forward to helping them
manage and grow their business," said Mark Bilton-Smith, president of
Rio Networks. "DR is just one of the
many telecommunications services we can offer from our new data center and we
look forward to expanding our footprint across the region and the country in
the coming months."
