Raidon Bringing Out Two-Bay 2.5-Inch HDD/SSD RAID
With USB 3.0 transfer interface
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 21, 2012 at 3:01 pmFrom RAIDON Technology, Inc., the R2420-B3 is the first products in Runner series storage device, with USB 3.0 transferring interface ten times faster than USB 2.0.
It is able to install either 2.5" SATA SSD or SATA HDD, and could set the RAID-0, -1 and JBOD three kinds of usage patterns by hardware setting to meet different needs.
Using the hardware RAID chip design, in RAID-1 (mirroring) mode, R2420-B3 data is simultaneously written to two SSDs or HDDs to ensure that important information will not be loss if SSD or HDD damage, and will not affect the performance of the overall system operation.
In JBOD mode, R2420-B3 is equivalent to the general enclosure but special feature of able to install one HDD and one SSD of combination usage, only need a transmission cable for data access. With a simple eject drive tray design, which gives a convenient of SSDs or HDDs interchangeably, free of needing any auxiliary tools or any screws for exchanged.
In RAID-0 (striping) mode, the capacity is add it up from two HDDs into a big volume of capacity, not only could enjoy large storage space but also faster then a single drive.
It is easy for switch RAID mode by switch on the back.
Except high speed USB 3.0 interface, with eject drive tray and hardware RAID chip, the R2420-B3 is designed with aluminum material to prevent overheat and also portable for ultrabooks.
