Jeff Olson VP of WW Sales, GreenButton

Was senior manager of strategic accounts for Red Hat storage.

GreenButton Limited, provider of cloud computing software, announced the appointment of technology industry veteran Jeff Olson as VP of worldwide sales, leading the company’s global sales and business development strategy.

jeff_olson_greenbutton In this role, Olson, who will be based at the company’s US headquarters in Palo Alto, CA will report to CEO Scott Houston.

"Jeff’s extensive network and broad technology industry experience is a very valuable asset as GreenButton expands its footprint and takes a leadership position in the US and abroad," said Scott Houston, CEO of GreenButton. "Jeff’s comprehensive knowledge of high performance cloud computing and his proven track record in technology sales makes him a natural fit to our seasoned management team. His leadership will promote collaboration on our teams, while keeping a strong focus on GreenButton’s customer-centric mentality."

Olson, who has over 15 years experience in the technology industry, joins GreenButton from Red Hat, where he was senior manager of Strategic Accounts for their Storage division, and was responsible for expanding Red Hat’s new storage offering to their largest customers in the US. Previously he was director of sales and later senior director of Channel Sales and Major Accounts at Gluster, a software company that provided an open source platform for scale-out public and private cloud storage and acquired by Red Hat in 2011. While at Gluster he quadrupled their sales teams and helped increase the sales revenue by 10X leading to their acquisition. Prior to Gluster he held Director of Sales positions at Krugle and BEA Systems.
