Pure Storage Unveils Channel Partner Program
For all-flash arrrays
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on August 3, 2012 at 3:00 pmPure Storage, Inc. unveiled its P3 partner program,
which will make the Pure Storage FlashArray available to purchase exclusively
from qualified IT solutions providers.
The program is designed to make selling FlashArray solutions simple and
flexible, enabling partners to capitalize on the high-growth, $4 billion
solid-state enterprise storage market.
"The market for
solid-state arrays – across all sorts of enterprises and workloads – is
impossible to ignore. Thanks in large part to its ‘less than the total cost of
performance disk’ value proposition, Pure Storage is well positioned to capture
a substantial piece of this burgeoning market," said Mark Peters,
senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. "The Pure Storage Partner Program provides easy-to-use tools and
outstanding incentives for forward-looking channel partners to get in on the
ground floor of what is shaping up to be a white-hot market segment, with the
clear potential to revolutionize enterprise storage."
The P3 program was designed to liberate IT resellers from narrow
growth opportunities and overly complex certification and vendor engagement
requirements.
The P3 program offers
the following partnership benefits:
- A high-growth opportunity to capitalize on the enterprise
market transition to solid-state storage. - A secure partner portal with access to a resource
library of lead generation, pre- and post-sales tools to generate new
opportunities. - Deal registration that provides a simple way to register new
opportunities, with a 48-hour SLA. - Promotions and giveaway programs for sellers and
customers.
The Pure Storage FlashArray delivers the
performance of flash at less than the price of disk, and it is the industry’s
first enterprise class all-flash storage array that is production-ready and
priced at $5-$10/GB.
FlashArray is 10x faster, 10x more space and power efficient and simpler to manage, all at less than the price of performance disk.
The Pure Storage FlashArray is for workloads, including server
virtualization, desktop virtualization (VDI), database (OLTP, real-time
analytics) and cloud computing.
"We are excited to unveil
our channel program, which we believe will enable our channel partners to
simply and rapidly capitalize on one of the single most significant
developments in enterprise technologies in the past decade," said Matt
Burr, VP of sales at Pure Storage. "Pure
Storage is committed to a channel-focused sales program and we look forward to
working closely together with our partners to deliver innovative solutions,
support and resources so partners can grow their businesses alongside us."
"We’ve been working with
Pure Storage since the FlashArray was in beta," said Al Chien, VP,
sales and marketing, Dasher Technologies, Inc.. "Understanding our customer’s environment, specific storage requirements
and a firm grasp of the technologies available on the market, we seeded a beta
version of the FlashArray with one of our larger clients and the results far
exceeded the customer’s expectations. Interest in all-flash storage arrays for
companies that run high-performance applications already exist, but it had
always been deemed cost-prohibitive for broad deployment of flash in the
enterprise. In our experience, the Pure Storage FlashArray provides the
performance and efficiency of flash, but at a price that is comparable to
traditional spinning disk storage and this is a game changer. We’re excited to
be introducing the FlashArray technology more broadly across industry
verticals."
"At Kinney Group, we’re
very selective about what companies we partner with because it’s imperative
that we provide only the best and most cutting-edge data storage technologies
to our customers, the most technologically demanding federal government, DoD
agencies and programs," said Jim Kinney, president, Kinney Group, Inc.
"We chose to partner with Pure
Storage because the FlashArray is truly an innovative next generation storage
solution that will enable our customers to achieve levels of performance and
simplicity that exceed traditional enterprise storage arrays, while at the same
time driving out significant costs associated with operations and sustainment.
As the federal government seeks to increasingly move data and applications to
the cloud model of computing, we see the Pure Storage FlashArray as being an
enabling platform for achieving this objective."
"We pride ourselves on
our vendor agnostic approach to providing tailored solutions to our customers,"
said Scott Robinson, president, XIOSS. "We seek out only the best products for our customers and our
partnership with Pure Storage speaks volumes to the business value that the
Pure Storage FlashArray provides."
