Plextor Launches M5S 2.5-Inch SSDs

Plextor Europe announced its
series of SSDs (M5S) designed to
provide a solution for users looking to make their first switch from
HDD to SDD.

The M5S SSD is faster with enhanced
performance. Utilising the Marvell 88SS9174 controller
and paired with 25nm NAND flash, it boasts sustained random
read/write speeds of up to 73,000/70,000 IOPS as well as continuous
read/write speeds of up to 520/390 MB/s.

Available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB
capacities, the M5S offers storage
space for important files and media.With a low power-consumption and high transmission rate, the M5S suits user goals to upgrade existing
system performance whilst satisfying the demand for durability, data
security, and stability.

The M5S is bundled with
Plextor firmware like True Speed, Instant Restore, Global Wear Leveling,
and Bad Block Management. This combination
strengthens the efficiency of data transfer whilst helping to
stabilise and improve the sustainability, so that users can rest
assured that their drive will maintain high performance and speed, even after years of usage.

Customers can extend the
functionality of the M5S by registering for VIP membership via the
Plextor website. Once registered they can download the PlexTools software, which offers services
like monitoring drive status and upgrading firmware.
