Eversync Solutions
Inc.,
developer of
data protection solutions,
announced its new hardware product line
with Eversync OS 5.0.
The product line includes
traditional backup appliances and protection appliances (and its first
software virtual appliance) that support enterprise-features
including virtualization, replication, deduplication, and
application-level restores of
mission critical applications such as Exchange and SQL
Server.
The protection
appliances offer a solution for customers
protecting up to 100TB of data, with limited backup windows and restore time objectives. The ability to
aggregate multiple 1GbE ports, the addition of 10GbE ports, plus the in-line deduplication feature
combine to yield up to 1TB per hour of backup and restore speeds. In addition, enterprise-features such as
multi-site replication, file level virtualization with instant
restores, and support for large mission-critical Exchange and SQL
Server databases enable protection for the customer environments.
The firm continues the simplification with
the introduction of its new mobile management applications for the
iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
"As an Eversync customer,
we have come to expect a solution that is simple and easy to use"
said Heberto Bermudez, IT Manager at manufacturing firm Momar,
Inc.
who was one of the beta testers of OS 5.0. "We don’t
have the time or resources to become backup experts. We are excited
by the new Eversync Mobile Manager app because now we can protect our
data anytime, anywhere."
Jerome M. Wendt, president and
lead analyst at DCIG, remarked: "What makes the Eversync
solution best in class for environments made up of both virtual
servers and physical servers is its deep integration with VMware and
Hyper-V, and its common interface for managing physical, virtual, and
application environments."
Appliances range from 1U to 9U with raw storage capacity options ranging up to
132TB and backup capacities of up
to 10X with deduplication.
"Eversync’s data
protection line is bringing a whole new level of affordability and
performance to the mid-market," noted Deni Connor, founding
analyst of Storage
Strategies
Now
LLC. "With
Eversync, SMBs can enjoy enterprise-level data protection that is
simple and affordable."
Protection solutions incorporate backup, DR, and
archiving , affordable package. Bringing
enterprise features to SMBs, the
solution provides a low TCO over other disk
and tape-based solutions.
Victor Perez, CEO said : "Eversync is bringing
enterprise-level data protection – including backup, disaster
protection, and archiving – to the mid-market. Customers shouldn’t
have to choose between enterprise features and simplicity. With our
