Arkivum Launches Click Try Buy

Free 30-day trial of cloud archiving solution

Arkivum Limited launches Click Try Buy, a free trial (registration needed) of its archiving service, which aims to help businesses evaluate the concept of secure content archiving in the cloud.

Companies can sign up for the free 30 day trial and see how to keep content in the cloud, and how fast that content can be retrieved.

Arkivum offers a cloud-based storage service and gives a 100% guarantee of data integrity for the life of the contract – vital for material which represents the core asset of a business.

"We appreciate that companies are still nervous about handing their precious content over to a third party archiving business – even one like Arkivum, which specialises in the absolute integrity and security of storage," said Jim Cook, CEO at Arkivum. "Arkivum Click Try Buy is a simple way for organisations to experience the huge benefits of our service, showing just how easy it is to move content in and out of the cloud archive. We know that once they have tried it, businesses will appreciate how it will boost their workflow and their business efficiency."

For the customer the process of sending and retrieving content to and from the archive looks just like moving it from one folder to another. The virtual machine at the customer premises provides secure encryption using keys which are not available to Arkivum, ensuring the security of the content.

Arkivum’s service operates by storing client content in three different locations – two independent and geographically separate data centres and one offline, in escrow, all of which mirror each other, thus ensuring there can be no loss of information.

"Our service is completely secure: the data is guaranteed 100% and the highly secure algorithms ensure no unauthorised party can decrypt the archives," Cook explained. "Once companies see how this service can be delivered in a form which is simple and fast, we are sure they will want to move to archiving in the cloud."
