It now offers consumers the convenience of set it and forget it automatic backup, plus a cloud drive which can be accessed from their desktop or MiMedia Online.

"Adding a universally accessible cloud drive to MiMedia adds tremendous utility to our service for consumers," said Erik Zamkoff, CEO of MiMedia. "Now consumers can setup an automatic backup to complete the upload of their existing media, while at the same time have the convenience of a fully integrated cloud drive available locally on their desktop and via the web. Then regardless of upload method, consumers can enjoy an unparalleled access experience when they login to MiMedia Online."

The cloud-based (m:) Drive resides on a user’s desktop and acts like a local drive, making syncing to the cloud simple. Right-click on any file or folder or drag-and-drop into the (m:) Drive folder on the desktop and it automatically syncs to the cloud.

When not on their home computer, users can securely upload files via the Web, which they can then access right from their desktop, creating options for consumers to leverage the cloud in their daily lives.

Users can also save files to the (m:) Drive from any desktop application or run local applications with files stored in the cloud.

For example, users can run iTunes locally and stream music and videos that live in the cloud, or save Microsoft Office documents directly to the (m:) Drive to ensure that they are backed up online.

New (m:) Drive is available for Windows PCs.
