Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. started selling its Thunderbolt cables at Amazon.co.jp, one of the world’s major online stores, on April 13.

The cable comes in lengths of 0.5m, 1.0m, 2.0m and 3.0m.

Thunderbolt is a high-speed PC connection technology developed by Intel Corporation. It provides 10Gbps data transmission and supports PCIe and Display Port interfaces with its dual-protocol solution.

Based on Intel’s technical specifications, Sumitomo developed Thunderbolt electrical cables by combining its cable technology with the high-speed transmission technology.

The cables have already been on sale, but the company has recently decided to add the sales outlet at Amazon.co.jp.
